Dorota Jedrusik was born in 1981 in Sosnowiec, Poland. She is currently living in Krakov and holding there the Artistic Workshop, where all her art pieces are born.
She is a contemporary visual artist, mostly in the area of drawing and painting, but also installation and ceramic sculpture. Abstract art always appealed to her because of endless meanings and interpretations, pushing into continuous exploration.
As Dorota says, she is 'interested in creation of unsaid situations which do not exist in reality'. In her works she pays extra attention to forms and colors, giving choice for feelings and thoughts. Human imagination, way of thinking, and architecture are the main sourses of inspiration. Her ambition is to give an alternative to existing world.
Dorota graduated from a Department of Ceramics of Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw in 2010. While studing she received a scholarship at the Pais Vasco Bilbao University in Spain in 2008.
For great artistic achievements she was awarded with the Municipal Artistic Scholarship of the City of Sosnowiec in 2009. Dorota actively particiating in art fairs and international exhibitions.
