Boldi (born in 1970, Budapest, Hungary) is a contemporary eminent sculptor from Hungary. His aim is to make his art permanent in the modern world where people live in a consumerist society and everything is constantly thrown away. Using the most valuable materials, marble, bronze or terracotta, and depicting subjects which are comprehensible for all centuries, Boldi makes his artworks more of a time-resistant value. Following the Brancusi-tradition of sculpturing, he finds perfectly refined shapes for his creations. He works with marble by removing the excess with direct carving, as was the practice of the masters of ancient Greek sculpture. Boldi is a member of several art associations, his works can be found in international public and private collections.
