Dorota Jedrusik was born in 1981 in Sosnowiec, Poland. She is a visual artist in the area of drawing, painting, installation and sculpture (mostly, ceramic one).
Dorota is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, Department of Ceramics (2010) – a diploma in the Studio of Artistic Ceramics at prof. Przemyslaw Lasak and at the prof. Jan Drzewiecki Usable Ceramics Design Studio with an annex in the Drawing Studio of prof. Piotr Kielan.
Dorota is a scholarship holder at the Pais Vasco Bilbao University, Spain (2008). Awarded with the Municipal Artistic Scholarship of the City of Sosnowiec for artistic achievements (2009).
She participated in the final exhibition of the Young Art 'Untouchable' as part of Mediations Biennale, Poznan (2012), and at the 46th International Ceramics and Sculpture Symposium in Boleslawiec (2010). She presented her diploma at the final exhibition at the 57th Contest of Contemporary Art Pottery, Faenza, Italy (2011) and during the Festival 'Miasto Gwiazd (City of stars)', Zyrardow (2010).
Her works participated in the final exhibition of the 5th International Drawing Competition, are represented by the Museum of Architecture, Wroclaw (2013/2012). Some works were qualified for the finals of the International Competition of Drawing and Painting 'Strabag', Vienna, Austria (2012).
She holds the Artistic Workshop in Krakow (2014), where she now creates her artworks.
